| PEACHY SALTHOUSE |
Everything about Peachy Salthouse is real. With a lyrical honesty that makes you sit up and listen and a delivery that forces you to focus, this young artist tells it how she sees it and sings it how she feels it. As a vocal artist, her brushed velvet tone and effortless perfection of pitch combines to translate her message into universal language, with nothing lost in translation. Supported by a star field of varied beats and Raregroove instrumentals, this debut album is a pleasure to behold and presents us with an artist to watch closely, long into the future.
Raised in the UK but having spent time on both sides of the Atlantic, Peachy Salthouse is an Earth citizen with her own unique worldview that she’s happy to share with us. Having played piano from the age of five, and as happy with a clarinet, flute and guitar as she is behind a studio desk, Peachy Salthouse is a song writing and production force to be reckoned with. Born in London and adopted at the age of two, she has been brought up on a firm foundation of security and love that has imbued her with the confidence required to succeed as a performance artist. As a child, she was an avid songwriter, but her career as a recording artist began at the age of sixteen in London, working across the genres from Hip Hop to Jazz and Drum & Bass to Soul before attracting the attention and creative direction of Digisoul four years ago. It is clear from ‘Peachy Salthouse EP’ that these genres are not so much influences as they are milestones along her path to success. This musical diversity is reflected strongly in the album, and suitably, no one genre singularly encapsulates the expression that is contained within the EP. With touches of Neo-Soul and Raregroove fused seamlessly with well received hints of pure Soul, Funk, Jazz and Hip Hop it is a case study in reflective self-expression.
Peachy Salthouse is an artist with a soul full of talent and a determination of will that will carry her far into what will undoubtedly be a very exciting future. She may be a kind of lady, but she’s all woman. Just imagine.
